Genesys HTA Endometrial Ablation Animation
After a slight dilation of the cervix, the procedure sheath is inserted into the uterus.
The uterus is then filled with room temperature saline.
Next the physician will examine the uterus using a hysterescope.
The physician will then initiate the ablation cycle and the saline circulating in the uterus will be heated by the Genesis HTA System.
During the 10-minute cycle heated saline is circulated in order to ablate the lining of the uterine walls, also known as the endometrium.
After the ablation cycle has been completed, the uterus is flushed with room temperature saline and the physician will examine the uterus again.
